The Congregation finds its fullest expression in worship.

We gather regularly to celebrate our faith in God's presence. We receive his divine gifts through his Word and the Sacraments.

Three main liturgical styles of worship are used on rotating Sunday mornings:

  • The Service with Holy Communion is from page 6 of the Supplement to the Lutheran Hymnal. This more 'traditional' liturgy taps into the rich resources of hundreds of years of Christian worship. This liturgy has dignity and depth, and still retains its enthusiasm. In this liturgy, the Pastor and the congregation interact with traditional song.
  • Sing the Feast is a newly authorised service introduced to the Church at its General Synod in 1997. The pastor and the congregation sing parts of the liturgy. This liturgy has been warmly received by the Congregation, and combines dignity with warm enthusiasm.
  • The Liturgy in Modern Form is from the Worship Today booklet and also celebrates Holy Communion. This liturgy has been in use for over 20 years in the LCA, and was the first to break away from more ‘traditional’ musical forms.
